Mobile Payment in Tourism

Digital payments is critical to capturing the Chinese consumer. Between WeChat Pay and Alipay, there are close to 1.5 billion transactions per day! As an industry leading expert with several decades of experience and research marketing and retailing to the Chinese customer, ITL worked collaboratively with a regional Pan-Pacific retailer to implement Chinese digital payments as a message to welcome and embrace the Chinese customer. With the implementation came the power of leveraging the social media and digital ecosystems of WeChat and Alibaba. The implementation and training throughout all the stores took two months and the retailer was able to increase their Chinese sales with double digit growth.
